Gerard V. Canillas
I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and raised in Manila, Philippines. I graduated High School in Manila and came back to Las Vegas for my continued college education. I went to UNLV with the goal in mind of graduating with a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Kinesiology and moving onto Graduate School for either a Master's of Physician Assistant Studies Master's Degree or a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. I currently work as a Physical Therapist Assistant in In-Patient Rehabilitation and Acute Care and wish to further my studies and developing deeper understandings in Physical Activity and the sciences behind the field of study. Hopefully with all the education I've gained through my college studies, I am able to use it to help and heal others around the world!
Tommy Nguyen

I was born in Shakopee, Minnesota and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada when I was 10. After graduating high school I majored in biology at UNLV. After a few years of course work I realized that I wasn't happy anymore. I decided to change to Kineisology major because I love the human body, how it functions, being active and living a healthy lifestyle. My first goal is to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and from there I will decide the next chapter in my life.
Mylan L. Francis
I am originally from New Orleans, LA and my reasoning for coming to UNLV outside of basketball in the spring of 2014 was to pursue Kinesiology as a field of study. The field of kinesiology always interested me ever since I completed a physical/occupational therapy internship at a hospital in New Orleans in the summer of 2010. From there, I have always wanted to develop my own line of clinics that would service both regular patients and pro athletes alike with whatever their therapy needs were at affordable prices. With this idea, I plan to begin servicing the country first and then possibly gravitate towards expanding it aboard; serving new clients in different countries outside the United States.
Shannel Andrews
Hi, my name is Shannel and I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with hopes of becoming a physical therapist in the future. I became interested in physical therapy after a sports related injury in high school. I had to go to physical therapy and while there I became very interested with the profession. I would constantly ask my physical therapist questions and I was inspired by her wisdom and desire to help others. My ultimate goal is to spread health awareness and open multiple clinics across the country.
Roy Park
I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2005. I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in kinesiology with hopes to eventually become a physical therapist. I had been bouncing from major to major because I was lost and had no idea what I wanted to do as my career. Finally after learning about the kinesiology major and physical therapy, I decided this would be final stop. So far, the material I am learning has been genuinely interesting and enjoyable. In the future, I hope to share what I learn with those in need.
